HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are pleased to send you the January Newsletter. Please feel free to forward any suggestions for future editions.

Golf Course Schedule

During the month of January the golf course will open at 8:00 Monday thru Friday, weather permitting. So that you won't be inconvenienced by frost delays on weekends, play will begin with a Shotgun Start at 9:30am every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month. The Golf Shop and the Grille will open at 7:20 every day.

Be sure to Visit Our Webpage for cart rules, weather forecasts and possible frost delays. The beverage cart will not be running in cold or inclement weather during the winter months. However, we are happy to deliver food and beverage orders, please call the Grille at 689-0364 to place an order for prompt on-course delivery!

Events this Month

Texas Hold-em Poker Night- Tuesday, January 13th at 6:30pm. Play tournament style Texas Hold-em Poker! NO CHARGE TO PLAY. The Bar will be open and the Grille will offer a special poker players menu. Registration is required, limited to the first 60 players. For more information or to register for this month's game, contact Staci Lake at 575-9526 or slake@signatureatwestneck.com.

Saturday Breakfast - Enjoy our full breakfast menu every Saturday morning! Enjoy your favorites including pancakes, waffles and omelets prepared with Chef Chris Isaacs' special touch. Breakfast sandwiches will be served from the snack bar Monday thru Friday.

Sunday Brunch - Brunch is served in the Grille every Sunday from 7:00am until 3:00pm. Enjoy your favorite breakfast and lunch items from Chef Chris Isaacs' kitchen.

Dinner in the Grille- Dinner is served every Friday and Saturday evening from 5:00 until 9:00. Chef Isaacs will prepare a special Menu each week with seafood, pasta, chicken and beef dishes.

Casino Night on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at the Virginia Beach Moose Family Center located at 3133 Ships Corner Road. Join us for a fun evening of food and play. Games are Blackjack, Texas Poker, Horse Races, Crap Tables. Your ticket will include some funny $$. Watch for your invitation and details in the mail from Community Group around the end of December 2008. See you at the tables.

The West Neck Garden Club has many fun and informative programs from October ’08 through June ’09. Our year consists of the following programs:

January 27: Amazing Annuals and Penny-wise Perennials

This will be an informative talk by Master Gardener Liz Maurer.

February 24: Seasonal Table-Scapes by Hilltop Florist Kim Whitfield

March 25: CSI for Plants by Lynette Swanson of the VA Cooperative Ext.

April 2009: Virginia Beach House & Garden Tour

May 19: Mini-Pantry Herbal Party by Billie Parus.

June 2: Tour of the Hermitage Museum & Gardens of Norfolk @ 9:00 a.m.

West Neck residents are invited to join us for the informative programs, social events and hands-on gardening at North Landing Elementary School. All regular meetings will be held at the Princess Anne Library on Nimmo Parkway until the expected completion of the Village Hall in April 2009.
